Nearly 30 years of growth

Tom White started this business as a skip hire company in 1981 but since then we have grown consistently and considerably to include commercial waste collection, domestic waste management and more importantly; recycling.

In 2009 we started a unique and cutting edge partnership with Coventry City Council whereby we are trusted to sort and recycle all of Coventry’s domestic waste, ensuring that waste management is kept within the city for maximum environmental and economical benefit. The very fact that Coventry City Council chose Tom White Waste for this massive and prestigious project speaks volumes for our environmental abilities, credentials as well as the professional service we offer.

We are proud to be a major employer in Coventry and to support local charities and sports teams.

Whats happening now.

Our new 7,500 square metre’s waste management facility in Longford is now fully operational. With the investment of 10 Million pounds into the latest processing equipment to achieve our goal of ‘zero to landfill’.  We use the latest technology to sort through materials such as, cardboard, plastics, glass, building materials, timber and metals. There are several processes that are used to ensure everything that comes from the 150 thousand tonnes of locally produced waste is recycled. This includes; shredding, screening, manual picking, air separation and ferromagnetic for metal. The small amount of waste we do have goes to RDF facilities in Birmingham and Rugby where it is used to produce energy. Once this has happened in the final process the materials are stored into compacted bales. They are sent to local plants to be further recycled and processed, where it is used to produce new materials.

Our large, modern,  fleet of vehicles use the latest lower emission technologies, in addition to this, we only cover a 35 mile radius which enables us to lower our carbon footprint.
