For 40 years, Tom White Waste operated as a family-run business, becoming a well-known and established skip hire and waste management company in Coventry. In 2020, Coventry City Council acquired Tom White Waste, and change began.
Today, we operate as Tom White, an environmentally and socially focused company that does more than collect waste. We never export waste outside the UK; we invest in waste management infrastructure that extracts valuable materials, introducing it back into the supply chain. We ensure our customer’s waste follows a no landfill journey whenever possible.
We channel our revenue into front-line services through our shareholders, Coventry City Council and community initiatives to provide expanding opportunities across the spectrum through our “profit for purpose” business model. We put people first and create a mutually beneficial relationship between our business and employees, customers and suppliers.
Why do we do this? We do all this not because we have to but because it’s the right thing to do.
Provide better waste management solutions for our customers and the planet by following a simple principle – do what we say we’re going to do.
Whether that’s investing in waste-to-product technology, listening and communicating with our customers and our team, and taking responsibility to make changes to the way we operate to uphold our vision and values.
Build a better future for generations to come where they can live without climate crisis and have access to the same opportunities we do.
We provide a diverse and nurturing work culture, championing our people’s growth and progress. We listen to our customers, and we will continue developing our strategy to better support their requirements to achieve their environmental and social goals.
Protect Our Planet
We will continue to reduce our carbon impact, never export waste outside of the UK and invest in new waste-to-product processes. We do this not because we have to but because we choose to – it’s the right thing to do.
Profit for Purpose
As we operate a profit for purpose business model, whereby any profit we make is channelled back into the communities we service, including education, health services and community projects.
As we grow and expand, so does our purpose and investment in local areas.
