We’re incredibly proud to announce our support of The Air Ambulance Service, having donated a skip free of charge to their head office in Rugby, Warwickshire to help improve the charity’s waste management and aid daily operations. Community outreach is incredibly important to us here at Tom White, and it has been an honour to work with a charity that delivers such vital services here in Warwickshire and the surrounding Midlands regions. Our donation helped TAAS to handle their waste with ease and efficiency, allowing them to focus on the lifesaving work they carry out every day.

Tom White's Commitment to Community Impact

Efficient, intelligent waste management is an essential component of the work we do here at Tom White, offering innovative waste solutions that empower our customers and ensure they take accountability for their waste whilst reaching their sustainability goals. It is always an honour when our work has a direct and positive impact on our local communities, underlining the core principles at the heart of our business – people, planet, purpose.

The Air Ambulance Service operates the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA), the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA), and the Children’s Air Ambulance. Its critical care crews can be on the ground within minutes, delivering pre-hospital emergency care and giving patients the very best chance of survival. This vitally important service relies entirely on donations to raise the £2,300 needed for each rescue mission, receiving no funding from the government.

A Greener Future: Helping TAAS Stay Environmentally Friendly

Regarding Tom White’s donation to the charity, Sally Newman, Community Fundraising Executive for Warwickshire said:

“On behalf of the charity I would like to say thank you to Tom White Waste for their generosity in donating a skip to us for a week, free of charge.”

“We were the first UK charity to offer a full close-loop recycling service of our own plastic bags – helping us to become greener, so this donated skip has helped us to stay environmentally friendly in other areas of the charity,” she added.

We are thrilled to have contributed towards the life-saving work of such an important local charity. For more information on TAAS operations and to donate towards funding their operations, please click here to visit their website.
