From family business to environmental pioneers

1975

Tom White Waste was incorporated by its founder Leonard Thomas White, known locally as Tom White. The family-operated company started after Tom White could not find a local skip company.

2016

Tom White Waste becomes a well established waste management company, expanding its business and completed works on the material recycling facility. The MRF has a processing capacity of 140 tonnes of waste daily.

2020

Coventry City Council acquired Tom White Waste, shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite a challenging first year, the waste management company continued with its vision to become a conscientious company and grow a team of environmental and social changemakers.

2021

Tom White Waste rebranded and became Tom White, losing the “waste” element as the company focused on complete environmental solutions and turning materials into products.

2023

Tom White has doubled in size since 2020, with over 180 employees across 3 sites and over 3,500 business customers.

2024

Tom White’s national approach is fully integrated, and their sustainable waste solutions are adopted throughout major cities and communities.
